Sam is a lot like Peter Pan, only not quite as nimble. Or as scrawny. And he doesn’t live in a tree. But he has lived with his girlfriend Astrid for seven years, which is like living with Tinkerbell, since she’s tiny and she can sew. And ever since Astrid’s sister Aubrey announced that she and her boyfriend Ben were getting married, Astrid’s death stare has made Sam wish he lived in Neverland.
And you know what really didn’t help? Hiring Ben to work at the cafe. But if Sam hadn’t done that, Ben would have had to call off the wedding because he’s broke, and then Astrid’s parents would expect Sam to grow up and become a real boy (and propose). And Lost Boys never grow up. (Right?)

Bio: Shaun Starke
Actor Shaun Starke previously played Sam on the 6th and final season of Something to Be Desired. Given his extensive stage credits — including Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet — how he ended up doing anything outside of classical stage acting both confuses and pleases him.
A native of Butler, PA, Shaun studied drama at Slippery Rock University. He liked the town so much, he decided to put down roots there. He’s currently a board member for Poor Yorick’s Players, an outdoor Shakespearean company based in Monroeville, PA. Shaun’s latest credits include directing A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Poor Yorick’s Players and serving as the improvisation coach for Slippery Rock University’s production of 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Shaun also teaches classes and workshops in comedic improvisation techniques. When he’s not in the kitchen baking delicious pastries and breads, Shaun spends his time at the local brewery, or enjoying Steelers games with his wife Rebecca, his step-daughter Madison, and his dog Pig.
